Recipe:
7 Cups of Homemade Chicken Broth
Now to thicken the broth you want 1 cup of the chicken broth mixed with 2 TBSPS of All purpose flour. Make a nice slurry and then pour into the main pot.
To make the Dumplins: (Fluffy Drop Style)
2 TBSPS of Unsalted Butter melted then chilled so not so hot, but don't let it get too cold either. You want it to stay melted
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup buttermilk 🥛
Now to your main pot with the broth you want to add half a bag of broom stick carrots.
Add 2 Cups of water
Add 1 1/2 TBSPS of minced garlic
Dice up 1/2 yellow onion
Dice up 4 celery stalks
Now after everything simmers for about an hr you will add in your shredded chicken. You should have cooked your chicken the day before
Add red pepper flakes 1 TBSP
Ground Black Pepper
1 TBSP of Onion Powder
1 TBSP of Dried Basil
Start dropping your dumplins in and don't stir them. You can use a fork to somewhat separate and dunk them under the broth but don't disturb them too much. You want them to rise.
