First unveiled at NAMM 2020, the RME 12Mic is a 12 channel digitally controlled microhphone preamplifier with MADI and AVB connectivity. In this video, we give you an overview of this feature-packed 1U microphone preamp.

Aside from the 12 incredible microphone preamps, the RME 12Mic continues the long RME legacy of flexibility and connectivity, with ADAT, MADI and AVB connection all available as standard.

Harnessing the networking power of AVB, the 12Mic can use its Neutrik EtherCon port to send up to eight incoming and eight outgoing audio streams, totalling an incredible 128 channels of audio in each direction.

The 12Mic has also been designed with interaction in mind, with a wide range of controller options. Firstly, intuitive controls on the front panel of the 12Mic make hands-on control of the unit quick and easy. On the network side, the 12Mic can be controlled and managed via the RME AVB Controller and most other third party AVDECC controllers. Finally, a browser based controller allows you to route any incoming and outgoing signal. This controller is also available when not connected to a network via the included USB cable.
