A young boy rolls in on his skateboard to the wide and dominating Leederville skate park. A small group of teenagers on bikes litter the otherwise empty park; a blemish against the concrete expanse. After building up courage and fighting off the overwhelming adrenalin, the boy stacks it when attempting the drop in one of the quarter pipes. The teenagers audibly display their enjoyment except for Damon, a solitary teen who can in many ways relate to the boy. To redeem the kid, Damon attempts to teach him how to drop in, but soon gives up as a result of his friends' taunts. What follows is a lesson not of technical skill, but the fear of pain in all its forms.
