Inflation, which remains a concern of the public, has dramatically fallen to historic low levels. Now, the perception of reality for all of us looks backwards. So concerns about costs and so on, lag, the reality, one and two, food costs remain higher in relative terms than before. And everyone has to eat. And middle and lower class people spend a larger percentage of their limited income to eat. And so that is an understandably, reasonably more central index for them of inflation and concern. But historically, the inflation rate has come down. The US economy has created five million jobs since 2022. It’s twice what the Fed projected, which two years ago already was relatively optimistic.
