TALLINN ESTONIA - TALLIN TV TOWER - Built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics (2023/2024) (4K)

Описание: For my last afternoon in Tallinn, & Estonia I took the bus from Old Town to the TV Tower.

The tower was originally built to broadcast elements of the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics.

Even though the viewing platform is at 170m elevation, so just over the 1/2 way point of the total 313m height, the view was spectacular, even with the clouds and snow.

Before going up the tower there is loads of historical information regarding its planning and construction under Communist Soviet Rule.

If going up the tower is your limit in regards to heights, stay well clear of the floor windows that allow you to look straight down to the ground.

After catching the bus back to the Old Town, a quick dinner was enjoyed at Kagu in the Town Hall Square, adjacent to the Christmas Markets.

Sweet Potato Fries with Cheddar Cheese, Burger followed by a Vana Tallinn Coffee.

Tomorrow, the Ferry back to Helsinki.
