Описание: Why is inflation so high today? Some people blame Russia's war on Ukraine. While this has surely contributed, the real reasons lie further back. In this episode of "What Would Hayek Say?" we look at the real driver of today's inflation. It lies with poor government and central bank policies over the past decades. Public debt and the money supply have increased tremendously over the years, with the hope that cheap money could help solve the problem of public debt for the time being. Additional shocks such as government-imposed lockdowns and the energy crisis have only made matters worse. As a result of government and central bank meddling, prices - those key signals by which we plan our lives - have been drastically distorted.
