Join the Conversation! As part of our 125 years celebration, LifeTalks are a series of live events designed to inspire and stimulate fresh and diverse thinking while discussing potential solutions to global challenges to healthcare and beyond.


On September 5, 2022 at 15:00 pm SGT / 9:00 am CET, Roche is sponsoring a special LifeTalk focused on improving access to healthcare. The moderated panel discussion will feature compelling perspectives from a range of charismatic figures. The discussion will be moderated by Nisha Pillai, former BBC news anchor, will include perspectives from the Health Minister of Malaysia and VP of the World Health Assembly, His Honorable Khairy Jamaluddin, Apl.de.ap, Rapper and Founding Member of the Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Ratna Devi, CEO and Co-founder of DakshamA Health, a leading patient organisation in Asia, and Muniba Mazari, UN Goodwill Ambassador to Pakistan, as well as Christoph Franz, Roche Chairman.

Around the world, people living in one country to another - from Hong Kong to Vietnam, Cambodia and India - or even from one neighbourhood to another within any given country, may have vastly different experiences when seeking medical intervention. The pandemic and economic instability have made these disparities even wider still, and the factors impacting an individual’s ability to access life-saving health services are vast. In this panel discussion, you will hear extremely different perspectives on what is needed to address these challenges and best practices in the region. And, we invite you to join in the discussion via social engagement. In the lead-up to the event, during the live streaming of the event and following the event, we will be encouraging the public at large to join the conversation.
