Yes people,
I hope you enjoy my new Solo-Drum EP called "Calling To The World".
The first song is based on a marching style snarepattern inspired by New Orleans marchingbands ( jazz-style). After a groovy shuffle improvisation it goes into a hardbop (60's Jazz) - swing on the cymbal.
Jazz was a very important influence for me. It can express feelings in a very groovy and danceable way.
Jazzdrumming is so intersting for me, cause it is not really straight but grooves and can go into rhythmical worlds far out.
I was listening a lot to Max Roach, Elvin Jones, Art Blakey and they are a big inspiration with their power, groove and intellect.
