1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer 4.0L I6 AW4 NP231
Master Cylinder Replacement. I'm not sure if my old cylinder failed or if I got air in the front lines after breaking really hard for a red light but my Brake Light came on and my front brakes stopped working after a while.
Tightening up the rear drums and parking brake was a quick fix and if I needed a little extra stopping power I could slam it into first and engine brake which saved me from rear ending some dumbass once.
Use a flare wrench to break the lines loose then remove the old cylinder. Bench bleed the new one by using the shipping caps to stop the fluid. Put the new cylinder in, connect the lines then tighten the cylinder to the body. Fill with fluid and bleed the lines at your wheels. You should be able to stop again.
