These are sold on military.eu as being German handcuffs. I can 99.99% tell you these are made in Taiwan. They are really nice quality! Very very nice quality. They are chain link handcuffs styled after TCH 820 handcuffs. They are remarkably similar.
They only have 1 pawl bar, but the double locking bar internally is split, meaning if you try and pick the double lock off, you have to hit the upper and lower sections of the double lock to get the cuffs back into a single locked condition, which is a nice feature! The holes in the swivels are HUGE and I can imagine bedroom enthusiasts cutting the chain links off and attaching padlocks through those holes for their purposes. There is no back-loading feature.
At a distance you would put money on them being TCH, if it weren't for the obviously different swivel design. They are sold as being made from Hardened stainless steel (nickel plated), though since the peg-and-groove system for the bow is mostly for show, they are still not technically as secure as a professional pair of TCH 820. But if it's looks you want and great quality, while being fully functional, these are a fantastic option! They look the part, they feel great, have properly mirrored sides so the keyways face the same direction when applied etc. Just very... very nice, insofar as non-professional / non-NIJ certified handcuffs go.
These are cheaper than TCH 820 and if you are buying some things from military.eu anyway, might as well throw a pair on if you like them and save on the shipping cost of acquiring them. Good for collecting, teens doing cops and robbers, lockpicking, bedroom activities, SERE practice etc. Just don't use them occupationally, due to them not being certified.
Enjoy!
