Описание: We often see that Positive Reinforcement Only training leads to owners being manipulated. Dogs will be conditioned to make poor behavior decisions just to then stop and wait for a treat. This two phase cycle is not eliminating the bad behavior. In fact it is encouraging the bad behavior as the the dog actually thinks it is suppose first be bad then good to receive positive reinforcement. Jumping and lunging at people and bikes or even retreating while wearing a harness offers absolutely no way to give positive punishment to stop behavior. A harness and even a standard name tag collar actually intensifies this behavior as the equipment spring loads and propels them forward. Applying positive punishment comes in many forms. Understand that stopping dangerous behavior with the proper tools and techniques is about intention.
