Panelists:
Rebecca London, Professor of Sociology, Director, Campus + Community, University of California, Santa Cruz
Mark Warren, Professor of Public Policy and Public Affairs, University of Massachusetts Boston
Description
The objective of this webinar is to provide resources for community-engaged academics going up for tenure and promotion. Drs. London and Warren were instrumental in the development of ASA's new Toolkit: How to Include Community Engaged Scholarship in the Tenure and Promotion Process. In this webinar, they will discuss this toolkit, its history, and how to use it. They will then specifically address how to develop a promotion and tenure dossier for community-engaged scholars. The panelists will discuss best practices for putting together a packet for assistants going to associate level, and for associates to full professor. The workshop will end with a Q&A session for the speakers to have discussion with the audience.
