In this VERY special Trip Report, I fly on jetBlue's very first flight into and out of Presque Isle, Maine on the evening of Sept.5, 2024, and back out the morning of Sept.6, 2024. A small city located in northern Maine and is also an Essential Air Service (EAS) community, making it the 54th of such airport I have been to!!
This inaugural has underlying significance, as it's jetBlue's very first EAS community and it continues the trend of airlines bidding for these contracts using much larger aircraft compared to the regional jets that usually fly these types of routes.

Such a fun flight, with a party at the gate in Boston, a ribbon cutting, lots of food, and an even BIGGER party in Presque Isle when we landed that was put on by the airport as well as a band and a second ribbon cutting.
