Hailing from the heart of Udalguri district in Assam, Tenzing Bodosa faced a lot of hardships in life at a very young age. He tried his luck with a lot of odd jobs.
In between all of these, he had a magical thought of trying his hands in tea farming but as his family had never grown tea, he had no idea how to do it. Little did he know, his tea farming will reach various parts of the world like Canada, Germany, US, UK and various others.
His passion and zeal for organic tea farming has inspired many farmers and has also created a safe space for wild elephants to come to his garden along with Hornbills, wild pigs, deer, peacocks and a variety of birds.
“Even they (animals) need to survive so I am growing for them too. Why should I be selfish to grow just for myself?” He says.
Every year almost 100 tourists visit Tenzing’s farm from various parts of the world.
