Luke spent a good amount of time with Space Reign back in Early Access, while I’ve been playing the 1.0 release, so this felt like the right moment to compare notes. The core idea has always been interesting: direct ship combat mixed with wider fleet command, tactical positioning, ship roles, and larger-scale space battles. The big question now is whether 1.0 has addressed the old pain points and turned that promise into a proper recommendation.
