Highguard just launched, and yes, it has problems. Balance issues. Rough edges. Things that should be criticised.
But what’s bothering me more than the game itself is the gaming community’s reaction.
We say we want new ideas. We say we’re tired of the same old games.
Then the moment something different releases, we tear it apart before it even has a chance.
In this video, I give a fair, critical review of Highguard — what works, what doesn’t but I also call out the knee-jerk negativity, review bombing, and unrealistic expectations that are killing new games at launch.
