River in Spring (六月清河)
The 6th month of the lunar calendar is known as the month of the lotus, where the lotus flowers bloom amid the waves: delicate, aromatic, and silt-free. This dance was based on basic Yangge style, using the actions of winding, pushing, turning, and buckling with the fan and body, to show the lotus form.
農曆的六月被稱為“荷月”， 碧波之中荷花盛開，清秀， 芳香，出淤泥而不染， 濯漣而不妖，故視為君子。六月清河這個舞蹈就是以胶州秧歌為基楚，用繞，推，盘，轉，端，扣，撇扇的動作，加上身體行態中的“三道彎”，展現出荷花的亭亭風恣。
