Описание: In 2009, John Wilson and his John Wilson Orchestra celebrated the 75th jubilee of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Musical at the Royal Albert Hall. Since then he has collaborated with the BBC Proms on an annual basis, with sold-out John Wilson concerts being broadcast around the world on both television and radio. John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra will now give their German debut at the 2016 Musikfest Berlin. Under the title “A Celebration of the MGM Film Musicals”, they present a select choice of the most popular titles from the golden 30s, 40s and 50s of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Musical productions. We asked Wilson about the relevance of film musicals and the difficulties of reconstructing the often lost music scores.
