Winter dog boots: why did we get them, and why did we change brands

Blake is an active australian labradoodle. He loves the snow and can spend hours in it. The problem quickly became how his paws can't take the cold, which resulted in an unplanned vet visit.
Now he wears winter boots whenever he goes out! We tried Muttluks first, and they were a good winter dog boot, but unfortunately did not meet his high energy needs (at least omw boot was garenteed to go flying off). We are now using winter boot suspenders made by Canada Pooch and they have been the most helpful!
