Feature Interactions
Rapid Fire is aware of your current weapon through the Gun Selector system. It only activates for manual weapons, meaning if you switch to an automatic or burst-fire gun, the feature stays dormant and your trigger input passes through unmodified. This weapon awareness prevents the feature from interfering with guns that already fire continuously.
The feature publishes a rapid firing state that several other features read. Auto Ping can time its pings around your fire bursts. Combat Evasion can adjust movement behavior while you are shooting. Dancing can coordinate its inputs to avoid conflicts during rapid fire sequences. Firing Guardian monitors the state for safety checks. This state broadcasting makes Rapid Fire a team player in the broader feature ecosystem.
Natural Feel
The randomized delay between the minimum and maximum wait times is what gives Rapid Fire its organic character. Every trigger pull happens at a slightly different interval, making the input stream completely non-deterministic. No two sequences of shots will ever be identical. This is fundamentally different from a fixed-interval approach where every gap is the same length, which would be trivially distinguishable from a human. Because each delay is independently randomized within your configured range, the resulting fire pattern is statistically indistinguishable from a skilled player with fast fingers. The natural variation in timing, the slight inconsistency from shot to shot, matches exactly how a real person taps a trigger under pressure.
