Hey Guys! It's Jessica from Studio Quirk. Today I'm going to demonstrate how I measure my body so I can pick a pattern that fits (and to make sure I purchase the right amount of fabric to cut it out!)
You'll need a measuring tape and something to record your measurements. Taking measurements in front of a mirror is helpful.
Today we will take the following measurements:
Waist: at the smallest part of your torso. A piece of elastic can help determine where this falls on your body. Don't assume it's at your belly button or top of your waistband!
Bust: The fullest part of your chest
Hips: The fullest part around your backside.
High Bust: The circumference above your breast tissue. This can be helpful if you determine you need to do a bust adjustment to your pattern!
High Hip: Top of your pelvis bone.
Bicep: Fullest part of your upper arm.
Neck: Circumference
There are a lot more measurements you can add to your list down the line, but these will be enough for a beginning sewer.
Повторяем попытку...
