When you book at any of the resorts within the El Cid Complex you have access to ALL of the restaurants. You are not locked into only dining at the restaurants where your suite is located.

Ha’ is home to Kobo which is Japanese Teppanyaki and A’akat which is Ibero-American cuisine.

Kobo is only teppanyaki show cooking. The food is really good at Kobo and they do a nice job with the cooking show so if your kids have never done this before then I would definitely put it on your list. They also have a separate vegetarian menu at Kobo.

All of the restaurants offer beer and house wines included with your all-inclusive. Two house whites a Sauvignon Blonc and a Chardonnay as well as two reds a Merlot and a Cabernet sauvignon.

A’akat which is Ibero-American cuisine. A’akat was my favourite restaurant on the property.
When we were there A’akat was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer a small breakfast buffet when the resort occupancy is high but it is not always open so check before you go.
At the time of this video, A’akat is the only restaurant on the EL Cid property that offers an a la carte lunch menu.
They offer tacos and ceviches as well as fajitas, ribs or fish.
For dinner things get really interesting in terms of the Ibero part of the Ibero-American cuisine.
They have a starter of corn on the cob with squid ink mayonnaise with ash and chili. Of course I had to try this one but I will warn you right now don’t wear white and order this dish.
They also have things like roasted artichoke hummus, chicken satay and bone marrow with octopus and chilis.
Everything on this menu has a little twist that I really enjoyed. The tomato soup had corn chochoyotes. The fish fillet had epazote and habanero mayo. There is a half chicken with Portuguese piri piri sauce and Fideua’ which is similar to a paella and if some in your group are not feeling this adventurous there is a stellar flank steak for two as well as a very good hamburger.
The desserts were the weakest part of this menu.
A word of warning to my vegetarian friends aside from Kobo, the vegetarian menu at every restaurant is exactly the same. So the same small vegetarian menu for the entire complex. I think as a vegetarian you will struggle at any of the El Cid properties to not be bored with your food options when staying a week.
The dress codes at Kobo and A’akat are considered formal casual.

There are 3 bars at Ha’.
Waves Bar is just off of the lobby. It has a really nice decor and it was often fairly quiet at this bar.
Senses is the bar beside the Ha’ pool. There is a small seating area and this is the main hub for getting a drink throughout the day when you’re lounging by the pool.
Ruf bar is on the roof of the buildings overlooking the pool and the mangroves. It is a fantastic adults only bar and it was easy to lounge away a good option of the day up here. As I said it is for 18+ and it is strictly enforced.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and drinks on the Ventus Ha’ property. A’akat being my favourite across all of the restaurants within the complex.
You are welcome to dine at all of the restaurants within the entire complex and your restaurant concierge or butler can book any of them for you.

So there you have it. Those are the restaurants and bars at Ventus Ha’ the newest additions to the El Cid Spa and beach resort Complex. We enjoyed the food and the cocktails were well made. For the price the El Cid resorts are hard to beat.
