THSC Xmas Break '25 - Sega Saturn - Twin Shmup Challenge

Описание: It's our usual Xmas break challenge and this year we're playing on a system we've never covered before in the Tubers....Sega Saturn. Well known for it's enormous and legendary library of shmups, widely considered one of the best collections on any console due to its excellent 2D power, arcade-perfect ports, and deep selection of Japanese exclusives and we've got 2 classics of the genre!
First up we have Batsugun, a Japan-exclusive, port of the arcade bullet hell pioneer game developed by Toaplan and published by Banpresto, we're playing the 'Special Version' which features balance adjustments, a smaller player hitbox, a one-hit shield and other additions.
Next up we have Soukyuu Gurentai (also known as Terra Diver) is a highly regarded, Japan-only vertical-scroller, praised for its unique lock-on laser mechanics and impressive 3D background effects. Because the original arcade hardware (Sega ST-V board) was based on the Saturn's architecture, the Saturn version is considered a close conversion of the arcade game.
The challenge is get the highest scores you can on both games, add them together, that's your final score. Both these games I found challenging (especially Soukyuu Gurentai with it's lock on laser) but also great fun, two class games! Anyway here's my attempts and final score....
