Clear or Coated Tom Heads? Evans UV2 vs. G2 clear

Описание: This was announced on IG quite a while ago but I realized I didn't let the YouTube fam in on it yet - this year I'm endorsing Evans drumheads and Promark sticks! I received a bunch of new heads and was curious how the UV2 batters would sound recorded in comparison to my usual G2s, so I made a video about it to share with you as well. They're played both in isolation and in the context of music, for something a little different.

I tried to keep the tuning and mic positions as consistent as possible between head changes to let you hear the difference in heads (if any). Both sets were played on regularly for about three weeks each, so they're still reasonably fresh but broken in. Let me know what differences you hear!

On a side note, the biggest takeaway for me from this video was... I really like the beta 52a on my 16" floor tom. That's just there because I don't have enough mics and had a kick mic to spare, but it works surprisingly well. The more you know!
