Drop bar MTB? Yep, you read that right. In this video, I take a Specialized Epic WC Expert and build it up with SRAM Apex drop bar shifters to create a one-of-a-kind drop bar mountain bike.
This setup was inspired by the riders at the Leadville 100 MTB race, where drop bar MTBs have been making appearances for epic endurance events. I’ll walk you through the full build, why I chose the Epic WC as the base, and how it rides compared to a standard MTB or gravel bike.
