A 63 year old Gibson LG-0, vintage Gibson guitar in original state. This is not my guitar, but I was lucky to get to try it and of course had to show it to you and to record the tones from it. I recorded the guitar with a Shure SM7B and an AKG C 1000 S microphone. The 1962 Gibson LG-0 features ladder bracing. Ladder bracing is characterised by its simple, horizontal braces running across the top of the guitar. This bracing style gives the LG-0 a distinct sound: typically warm, woody, and direct, with less sustain and complexity compared to guitars with X-bracing.
