The Archenemy’s hammer struck the world, a blow to break the crust,
They thought they’d find a dying race, reduced to ash and dust.
But deep beneath the shattered rock, in bunkers cold and vast,
The heart of Cadia beat in time, defiant to the last.
Then came the sound of grinding gears, a tectonic, iron roar,
As the hidden gates of the underworld unleashed the tides of war.
From the belly of the fortress-world, the steel leviathans rose,
To crush the life from heresy and trample down our foes!

Out of the earth, the Leman Russ! Out of the dark, the flame!
Ten thousand cannons thundering the God-Emperor’s name!
The shock troops rise from the burning soil, like ghosts in green and grey,
And in the heart of the slaughter, the Night is turned to Day!

I saw the Baneblades treading paths through mountains of the dead,
With every shell, the traitor’s hope was filled with molten lead.
The Kasrkin broke the surface, a storm of hellgun light,
Shattering the chaos-spawn in the middle of the night.
And as the bravery of man reached its highest, holiest peak,
When even the strongest bolter-arm felt tired and felt weak...
The sky above Kasr Myrak split, a golden rift on high,
As a Living Saint descended from the burning, broken sky!

Saint Celestine! With wings of fire and a blade of purest gold!
The promise of the Master, in a form so bright and bold!
Our courage was the fuel, and her spirit was the spark,
A beacon for the faithful to incinerate the dark!
