Hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which started at Lake Fontana Dam and went up to Shuckstack Fire Tower then down Lost Cove to Lakeshore and back to the Dam.
On this hike you will see the huge Lake Fontana Dam, the 1934 Shuckstack Fire Tower, and several abandoned 1920s vehicles. The Shuckstack tower is one of only three remaining fire towers in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Fontana Dam is the highest dam east of the Mississippi River.
There are several creek crossings on Lost Cove trail and it is not recommended to hike this trail after heavy rain.
