A month of work spaced over five months of construction, from first buying the trailer, to finishing the exterior before winter. If you ever get a chance to build a roof over your head I can't recommend it enough, such a fun project. Wanted to document every step along the way for anyone interested in building a tiny home one day. It's been a longtime dream of mine to build a cozy studio in the woods on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Figured this mobile trailer would be the perfect flexible option for finding a new home base and having a creative space to work. It measures 29'x9.5'x13.5' tall, has a locking standing seam metal roof and Red Cedar and metal siding. Will feature a 4ft loft inside for music production (art storage), a corner for Art production, pullout couch and fire place, and exterior tool storage. Guessing it roughly cost $30,000 for everything. Building this with my good friend Curtis Hunter has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, so grateful for his patience and guidance. Hoping to find a new home for it in the spring and finish the interior with Yellow Cedar.
