In Far Cry 4 you play as Ajay Ghale, a Kyrati-American who is returning to his homeland to spread his mother's ashes. Things get shot to hell immediately, and you are dragged into a Civil War between Kyrat's king Pagan Min, and the rebel resistance, the Goldent Path. Far Cry has always been a little off kilter (in a good way), and 4 continues that tradition. There are times that will leave you scratching your head, wondering just what-in-the-fuck is going on. But it never fails to be interesting. We have often argued that a great villian makes for for a great story. Pagan Min is truly one of the most charismatic villains we've seen in recent years. He is underutilized in my opinion; he could have easily been used more, but this also might make his brief scenes memorable.

If you liked previous Far Cry's, you'll like this one. It's a huge world, and there's a lot to explore. The game will take 13-15 hours to beat, and you can continue doing things in Kyrat after the game is over. As far as the game movie goes, it was difficult to edit, since you are sent on a lot of errands; some important and some not at all. I tried to determine everything that would be important from the story, and keep gameplay only where it is necessary. There are a lot of choices to be made in the game, so everyone's playthough should be different.
