Double barred finches (Taeniopygia bichenovii) bicheno finch or the owl Bicheno finch, estrildid finch, native to Australia. Nesting high up on Queensland Bunya Nut tree branch, feeding, socialising, and singing.
Cute Owl Finch, white circle dots on wings, polka dot winged finch, double black bar on throat and chest, looks more like an owl, often called as the Owl Bicheno finch. Grey beak, white face bordered by black bar, another black bar on lower breast. Brown upper head and back are brown.
Double barred/owl finch tiny bird about and a seed eater, 10 -11cm in size, weighs 15-17 grams. Lives in grassland, open woodland, often near wetlands, grassy areas.
