In this video, we are going to take a closer look at the massive Las Vegas Open 2025 tournament that took place Mid-January, where Deathwatch not only returned as a fully playable army once more, but Mark Hertel piloting Deathwatch also destroyed his competition, bringing home a victory for the long Vigil. Over the course of the video, we will go through his matchups and his list, in an attempt to find out just how exactly he made such great use of the new Deathwatch index. His list brings an amazing combination of competitive Deathwatch units including our Kill Teams, Deathwatch Veterans and Deathwatch Terminators, but also some interesting tech pieces like the Stormspeeder Thunderstrike and even the good old-fashioned Rhino. Then finally, I will offer my personal conclusions on whether Deathwatch is overpowered now and soon due for a nerf – and of course a quick wrap up of what has been covered.
