This short film has been created from the footage used for the longer documentary. It focuses on taking part in health research studies or trials as a ‘participant’. For research to improve the health of everyone in the UK, it's important that a wide range of people are included in health research.
But minoritised ethnic groups in the UK aren’t included in research often enough. Bone and joint researchers at the University of Bristol and the Bristol BRC wanted to change this.
We made this video to explore what members of Dhek Bhal, a South Asian community group in Bristol, think about taking part in research.
This film is part of United in Health, a collection of films about involving marginalised communities in health research.
