Is Jaime C. Velasquez Park the blueprint for the perfect Filipino city? 🌿🇵🇭
In this video, we’re exploring the heart of Salcedo Village, Makati, to visit one of the most successful public spaces in the country: Jaime C. Velasquez Park (also known as Salcedo Park).
While most of Metro Manila is a "concrete jungle" of traffic and malls, this park offers a rare glimpse of what our cities could look like. It’s clean, walkable, shaded by old trees, and home to the famous Salcedo Weekend Market. But it raises a frustrating question: Why is this the exception and not the rule?
If you’ve ever wished your neighborhood had a place to jog, sit under a tree, or visit a community market, this video is for you.
📍 Location Spotlight:
Jaime C. Velasquez Park (Salcedo Park), Tordesillas St, Salcedo Village, Makati.
Home of the Salcedo Weekend Market (Saturdays, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
