Supporting Bird Friendly Cities - From Seeds to Songbirds Webinar with Carolinian Canada

Описание: Healthy bird populations start from the ground up. In this webinar, Jennifer will explore how native seed and plant systems play a critical role in creating bird-friendly communities, and how municipalities, Bird Teams, and local partners can actively support these efforts through participation in the Southern Ontario Native Seed Strategy (SOSS). Drawing on her experience helping certify Windsor as a Bird Friendly City, Jennifer will share how SOSS strengthens habitat, supports local biodiversity, and aligns with Bird Friendly City actions and criteria.

Participants will learn how regional Native Seed and Plant Partnerships are increasing access to locally appropriate native plants, supporting ecological restoration, and fostering collaboration between municipalities, conservation groups, Indigenous partners, and businesses.

This webinar is ideal for municipal staff, Bird Team volunteers, conservation practitioners, and anyone interested in advancing bird conservation through native plant strategies and community-driven action.
