How to Make a Necklace Pendant with Clear Acrylic | Acrylic Jewelry

Nonetheless, here’s a list of the materials & tools I used:

🧱 Materials
1/8 inch Clear Acrylic
AB Crystals (SS3)
Black Acrylic Paint Pen
UV Resin
Chain

🧰 Tools
Glowforge Plus
UV Light
Toothpicks

Step One:
Design pendant on Inkscape or whichever design software you have ( I used Silhouette Studio ‘Business Edition’)

Step Two:
Send the design to the GlowForge Plus & watch it work it’s magic.

Step Three:
With your acrylic pen, fill in the engraved part. Don’t peel off your masking tape yet. It helps minimize the acrylic running. Let it sit & dry for about 15-20 mins. If you’d like, give it a second coat. Although not necessary, it just looks better in my opinion with a second coat. After it dries, peel the tape off. Wipe off any acrylic paint and dirt with alcohol (very important step before applying UV Resin)

Step Four:
Take a toothpick and apply some UV resin, little by little.

Step Five:
Start adding your crystals! Take your time with this step as well. You may have to go back and rearrange the crystals because the UV resin will cause them to shift (as seen in the video)

Step Six:
Place under the UV light for curing. Cure for about 3-4 mins. I like to “over cure” my pieces so that the crystals don’t fall off. So, 3 mins are not necessary, but it’s great to be on the safe side!

Step Seven:
Add the necklace/chain

Et Voila! A beautiful necklace!
