Описание: The 2022 Elanthoor human sacrifice case involves the brutal torture and murder of two women during separate human sacrifice rituals in Elanthoor village, located in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. The Kerala Police, during their ongoing investigation, arrested Muhammed Shafi, along with Bhagawal Singh and his wife Laila. The victims, Roslyn and Padma, were lottery ticket vendors who had been living apart from their families. This case attracted significant media attention due to the involvement of human sacrifice rituals and alleged cannibalism.

The investigation began after the relatives of Padma, a native of Kadavantra, Kochi, reported her missing in September. While probing her disappearance, police discovered possible links to human sacrifice. Further investigation revealed that another woman, Roslyn, from Kaladi, had gone missing under similar circumstances.

Through surveillance footage and mobile phone tracking, authorities determined that the victims' last known location was in Elanthoor. Upon questioning local residents, including Bhagawal Singh and Laila, the couple’s suspicious behavior led to further interrogation, during which they confessed to the murders of both women.
