10/14/2024 Don't let the sun fool you. The air temperature in this video was only 54°f and the water temperature was 68 °. I didn't even have any intentions on surfing this day or going to this spot. My lake board is in the shop for a ding repair and I felt it was the right time to take out my 6'8 Boss Up "Performance Mid length" by Slater Designs out on a dying swell on Lake Erie. For reference I am 6ft and 182lbs and this board felt like a shortboard. I'm also wearing a 4/3mm wetsuit so submerged I'm probably 5-10lbs heavier. This board has amazing glide and paddle power. I am by no means an expert in performance surfing. I surf relatively weak/small waves compared to ocean surfers. The waves in this session were at most chest high but like I stated earlier it was dying and I caught the very tail end of it. I was really trying to beat out the whitewash in most of them but as always I was glad to get to paddle out. All 1st person POV shots with a GoPro hero 11 16:9 Frame, 4k 60fps on Superview.
