20 years Long Residence application to remain in the UK: Can I still apply even if I have worked under different names?*
Paragraph 276ADE of Appendix FM to the UK Immigration Rules allows an applicant who has lived in the UK continuously for 20 years without leave, to apply for leave based on Private Life in the UK.
The Rules require the applicant to show evidence of their 20 years Long Residence.
The question will be, how do you prove 20 years residence if the only evidence available is a document relating to a job you did either under your name or someone else's name?
Many people at this stage give up thinking that they have nothing to prove their Long Residence.
There is still hope when you find yourself in such a situation.
This Saturday's discussion on the Community and the Law programme looks at how to overcome this dilemma.
Charles Asmah of BWF Solicitors leads the conversation from 4pm to 6pm to explore:
️What is the law on 20 years Long Residence leave to remain application?
️ What does case law say about those who have worked either under their own names or others during those 20 years that they had no leave to remain?
️ What pieces of evidence can you rely on to prove your 20 years Long Residence?
