At Meritus encompass, we create opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, and individuals with mental health needs to contribute to and connect with the community.

The first thing we would do is get to know you as we don’t have a one cap size fits all approach to support. Once we know who you are, we can work with you to plan support that’s right for you.
We believe everybody, regardless of their needs, has the right to a decent life which includes:
 a home of your own, which might be living with family or friends, or living
alone.
 the chance to live life as you choose.
 control over what happens to you, which includes deciding how you spend
your money.
If you need support in any of these things, we can help. We support people across the UK with the understanding that what may work for one person, may not work for you. Everyone’s needs and circumstances are unique. We don’t make assumptions about people, and we won’t try to fit you into something that isn’t right for you. Instead, we try to create support that
fits you. That might mean adapting something we already offer or creating something new.

Whether you are moving home, needing support managing finances, or finding friends or love, you will be fully involved. Our staff can help you claim benefits, find local work or volunteering opportunities, plan activities, support you at health appointments, and support you in voting.
We believe that building good relationships with those most important to you will help us to get to know you better. We will work with you, and those closest to you, to find out who you wish to be involved in planning your support.
SUPPORTED LIVING
We support people to live meaningful lives on their own terms by offering a person-centred approach to housing and support that enables people to live independently within their communities. Through supported living, we promote autonomy, choice, and inclusion by offering flexible support tailored to each person's preferences and needs.
Supporting people with learning disabilities
We provide specialist support to people with mild, moderate, severe and profound learning disabilities, with associated complex needs including physical disabilities (such as cerebral palsy), autism, mental health conditions, respiratory conditions, and neurological conditions such as epilepsy and dementia.

Individual Service Funds
An Individual Service Fund (ISF) is an arrangement where a local authority transfers the funds agreed for a person’s care and support arrangements to an organisation of their choice, so that the person can be in control of how their support is designed and delivered. An ISF is one type of personal budget.
ADULT RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT
Meritus Encompass provides adult residential support for people through our Person-Centred Active Support approach. They provide highly personalised, safe and fun environments where people we support can develop their social, communication and life skills with a view to gaining greater levels of independence, including education and employment.

Outreach and Home Support
Our outreach and home support services support you to live an independently as possible in your family home, your own home or in the community. Meritus Encompass can provide outreach support at a time you choose, from 1 hour to 24 hours a day.

Day Services
At Meritus encompass we do provide day services, and we use person-centred approaches to support individuals to become active and contributing members of their local communities.
The type, level and duration of the support we provide are highly flexible and vary from a couple of hours a week to more intensive daily support. The services can be delivered on an individual or group basis.
