The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is very detailed and deep. NPC's live very detailed lives filled with jobs and activates that often go unnoticed while the player is out and about exploring. The goal of these videos is to show how detailed all of these NPC's are in Red Dead Redemption 2 and taking a look at all the advanced AI that is in the game.

Lagras and Hagen Orange Ranch.

Lagras is deep in the Swamps of Lemoyne. This is a small town that is often passed when the player is trying to get to Saint Denis and Rhodes. The climate is muggy and the many alligators infest the swamps below. In fact every NPC that comes through here does the same thing which is just pass by. No one stops to take a rest or chatter with the locals except one (The milkman). However upon further inspection you can actually see all of the amazing details that go around here.

You can find NPC's cleaning shutters in their home, sweeping their porches and even going fishing! These tasks are done throughout the day at different times and the NPC's would even stop what they are doing and take mini breaks. Some will stand in the shade smoking a cigar while another could be seem sitting down by the docks staring down at the water. Other NPC's could be seen working on the docks looking at fish and other wares and others could even be seen hammering down at the planks looking for weak spots.

Every morning a wagon from the nearby Kauffman farms will bring milk to Lagras. He parks right by the center of town and "talks to the shop owner" You can see this as a kind of restock for wares. The rancher who delivers the milk will wait around the town for a few hours before he goes back to the ranch to make delivers to other locations (Saint Denis, Blackwater, Rhodes; You can even find him on the road heading to said location)

However the coolest detail is the fact that some of the NPC's live in Lagras and make the trek out to the nearby Hagen Orange ranch. Every morning around 7am these guys would get up and walk down the woods to the ranch and start working. These guys would then start tilling the soil around all the orange bushes and pick out weeds near the fence posts. After a few hours the NPC's would then go out and take a little break often with their fellow co-workers. Digging in the dirt is bound to get you dirty and that is seen with the workers even going and cleaning themselves out. (However they do this even when it rains which is quite a bit odd). As the workers continue to their shift they are under the supervision of the watchful foreman who makes sure that everyone is doing their job. He has the power to make sure everything runs smoothly with the help of an armed guard who is always patrolling the outside of the property looking for threats inside and out.

Near the end of the day all the workers start to pack up and head back home to Lagras. They leave in a group of three to four however I noticed that sometimes that leave one at a time with the others following later. The foreman and the guard go into the home with the guard leaving to check the property now and then. The workers get back home when the skies getting dark and instead of sleeping they begin to hang out with family and friends. Someone can be heard playing the harmonica while other engage in idle chatter on different porches throughout the property. Some people go into small groups throughout Lagras and talk with one or another person. Soon the sun begins to rise and everyone goes back to work; some drunk others not with the same goal of making some more money for the days ahead.

This is only a small selection of things that I found. There is so much more AI secrets around that I have not discovered or would be too long to fit into this video so I encourage you to go to Lagras and take a look around and see if you can see anything interesting!
