The Terme Merano offers a 7,650 m² indoor spa landscape. Eighteen years after its opening, the spa decided to modernise the original lighting installation by renowned South Tyrolean architect Matteo Thun. The new sustainable lighting solution – a customised, sculptural light installation – has succeeded in creating a special atmosphere in the space and saving 87.5% energy compared to the previous halogen solution. Our lighting experts developed 376 dimmable, transparent LED cylinders that mimic three dynamic waves – a symbol of the connection between water, air and energy.
