In this timelapse, I walk you through my entire process of texturing a Kenyan Matatu. These iconic mini-buses are famous for their bold graffiti, loud designs, and unique personalities.
We start the journey in Adobe Photoshop, where I hand-craft the custom decals, lighting effects, and "Manyanga" aesthetics from scratch. Then, we jump into Blender to set up the nodes, apply the image textures, and wrap the 3D model to give it that authentic Nairobi look.
What’s Covered:
Photoshop Phase: Designing the custom livery, typography, and "graff" elements.
Texture Mapping: Organizing UV layouts for a clean application.
Blender Workflow: Setting up the Principled BSDF shader and plugging in the textures.
Final Look: Adding those finishing touches to make the paint pop under the lights.
Software Used:
Blender (Modeling & Rendering)
Adobe Photoshop (Texture Creation)
