When Col. Monyakoch Chol Ador of Muzlum Battalion Petroleum Protection Force (Himayat Betrol) and other military officers have conducted an inspection and patrolling of Wunthou Waldit in Maluth County to assess the situation amid ongoing rumors of the SPLM/A-IO's threats to attack Paloch and other parts of Northern Upper Nile. Speaking to the media, Col. Monyakoch stated that they are working diligently to ensure the development and safety of the people in Upper Nile, highlighting the free movement of civilians across the state. He added that their primary objective is to protect the oil fields, with no intention of launching an attack unless provoked.
