This lesson sets up more parameters to make our materials even more flexible once inside Unreal. Before moving on to the last video, try to complete an "assignment" by completing the follow on your own:
Create a Master Material that will be useable with the Unreal Preset from Substance Painter. It should have the following parameters exposed and put into appropriate groups and names:
Color Controls
Brightness
Tint
Saturation
Roughness Controls
Contrast
Intensity
Emissive Controls
Color
Intensity
Normal Controls
Intensity
Option to have a Detail Normal Map
Detail Normal Map Intensity
Maps
Base Color
ORM
Normal
Detail Normal
Emissive
Alpha
Import the 3 static mesh assets into your Unreal Project.
Export the Textures from the Substance Painter files provided for those assets.
Import those Textures into Unreal Engine and ensure the correct settings have been applied to the appropriate textures.
Create Material Instances using your Master Material for the 3 assets provided and assign the materials to your static meshes in your Content Browser.
