Asian Markets Trade Higher, Wall Street Futures Rally; Higher Start On D-Street Today? | CNBC TV18

Описание: Asian equities opened higher today tracking Friday’s gains in US stocks that helped intensify bets for a strong finish to the year. Japan's Nikkei climbed 1.5 per cent, extending Friday's bounce as a steep decline in the yen promised to boost export earnings for Japanese corporates. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan added 0.3 per cent, while South Korea jumped 1.8 per cent on optimism over AI-related earnings.

The trends on Gift Nifty indicate a positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading near 26,170 level, up 139 points or 0.54% from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

U.S. stock futures rise today of a shortened holiday week, as traders deliberate whether tech can regain its footing before the year’s end.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose by 83 points, or 0.2%. S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively.

Wall Street is coming off a mixed week for the major averages. A late-week surge in tech stocks helped lift the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite to their third winning week in four, up 0.1% and 0.5%, respectively. The 30-stock Dow, which has outperformed this month, fell 0.7%, snapping a three-week winning streak.
