You have come to the right place.
First of all, problems which do not mention whether it is Static or Kinetic Friction co-efficients, actually confuse us more than clarifying things. I have made it a point to clearly differentiate between these two types of frictions happening here.

By the end of this 13 minutes video, I expect you to become so much more confident. You should be able to draw Free Body Diagrams, put forces correctly, decide when to use Static and Kinetic friction, and apply Newton's 2nd law at the right place, and finally get the Block accelerations.

But you need to be a little patient and go through the entire video. Not only the first few seconds.
Replay the Animation a few times to get the hang of sliding phenomenon. Check out the practical experiment in the video which is so simple , you can do it yourself at home! I would encourage you to put various types of blocks on blocks to master this whole thing. It won't be a mystery anymore.
