Epic Borders Ride: From Bishop Auckland to the Scottish Coast

Описание: You join Vet and I in Bishop Auckland ahead of a ride to the Scottish Borders with the Suzuki V-Strom Owners UK Facebook group. It's been a long time since we've been out on a group ride. Our experience in the past hasn't been great, however it has to be said, this was a top notch ride out with a very friendly group of people.

We left Bishop Auckland under grey skies riding to Corbridge and on to the Scottish Border at Carter Bar, where rain prompted us putting on our waterproofs. A short hop from Carter Bar to a coffee stop in Jedburgh and an incident with Beanie's front tyre which was quickly resolved.

We headed out from Jedburgh riding some amazing roads toward the small town of St. Abbs. Sadly, because of the delay caused by the problem with the tyre, our batteries ran out just as we were riding in. Ah well, I guess we'll have to come back.

St. Abbs has a lovely little town harbour area where you can park your bike and try the local delicacy 'Cullen Skink' at the nearby cafe. It's well worth a try.

All in all it was a great day out on the bikes with some very friendly people. Huge thanks to Kevin for organising the ride and to everyone else in the group for making Vet and so welcome.
