The situation in Bloemfontein remains tense. This after community members said they were not happy that their leaders had agreed to call off their two-day shutdown protest before consulting them first. Meanwhile, 19 people are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court today in connection with this week's violent shutdown protests. One of the suspects is a 57-year-old security guard who is charged with the murder of a teenage boy.
