Matt had previously taken the North Coast 500 ("NC500") record from Mark Beaumont.
He successfully completed VIA Race Chapter I in 2024, in spite of finishing without his partner, Harry. He returned to Chapter II looking for a result. He targeted 9 days, which could see him podium at an epic race with tough competition. Did he get the result he wanted? What trials and tribulations confronted him?
